This prize is intended to reward the creativity of inventors.<\/p>\n<p>It is awarded in the following categories: industry, research, non EPO members, SME and life work.<\/p>\n<p>In the <strong>research category<\/strong>, the winners are chemical engineers <strong>Wendelin Stark<\/strong> (Switzerland) and <strong>Robert N. Grass<\/strong> (Austria), inventors of a novel method for storing DNA data. Both researchers are professors at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, applicant for patent no.
