{"id":861,"date":"2024-03-15T14:45:11","date_gmt":"2024-03-15T13:45:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bugnion.ch\/?p=861"},"modified":"2024-05-08T14:51:57","modified_gmt":"2024-05-08T12:51:57","slug":"patents-patent-index-2023-of-the-european-patent-office-switzerland","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bugnion.ch\/en\/patents-patent-index-2023-of-the-european-patent-office-switzerland\/","title":{"rendered":"PATENTS &#8211; PATENT INDEX 2023 OF THE EUROPEAN PATENT OFFICE &#8211; SWITZERLAND"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In 2023, the number of patent applications in Europe (199,275 applications) rose significantly in comparison with 2022 (193,460 applications), representing an increase of 2.9%.<\/p>\n<p>Once again over this year, the most innovative sectors appeared to be digital communication, followed by medical technologies and information technology.<\/p>\n<p>For the year 2023, the number of patent applications from Switzerland filed with the European Patent Office (EPO) rose again &#8211; more precisely, with 9,410 applications, which represents an increase of 2.7% as compared to the year 2022.
