{"id":970,"date":"2024-10-30T12:09:39","date_gmt":"2024-10-30T11:09:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bugnion.ch\/?p=970"},"modified":"2024-12-20T12:10:39","modified_gmt":"2024-12-20T11:10:39","slug":"global-innovation-index-2024-switzerland-tops-the-leaderboard-yet-again","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bugnion.ch\/en\/global-innovation-index-2024-switzerland-tops-the-leaderboard-yet-again\/","title":{"rendered":"GLOBAL INNOVATION INDEX 2024 &#8211; SWITZERLAND TOPS THE LEADERBOARD YET AGAIN"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 17th edition of the Global Innovation Index (GII) &#8211; the global benchmark that rates the performance of countries by \u201ctheir capacity for, and success in, innovation\u201d &#8211; has just been published by the World Intellectual Property Organization, in partnership with the Portulans Institute, various private partners and a network of universities (Source: WIPO).<\/p>\n<p>The 2024 rankings are based on 81 indicators of innovation and feature 133 competing economies (assessed according to their innovation ecosystem performance).<\/p>\n<p>Once again this year, Switzerland has retained its position as leader, ahead of 2nd-placed Sweden (runner-up also in 2023) and 3rd-placed United States of America (3rd also in 2023).
